This is what I like to call a failure for the most part but it’s decent I guess. When searching how to make vases the most easy was was to make coils. I found out that this was the hardest part. I wanted the “rolls” to be long but they broke continuously and when I finally got some that were pretty long parts varied in size. Some parts were fat and other parts were skinny. As I rapped the coils around the rolling pin the first time I forgot paper towel. The clay got stuck and I had to start all over. The second time wasn’t so bad but the coils I made were. I was too aggressive when smoothing the sides out and poked a huge hole in the vase with my thumb. I like to call this vessel “One thumb mistake”.
